We always get excited at the thought of food festivals, especially when taking place in Somerset. The selection of Cheese and Cider is second to none!
We were pleased to be invited along to the first Burnham-on-sea food festival by Bev and Sarah. Our mission (that we chose to accept) was to “provide the attendees with a selection of delicious whole leaf brews”. We also spent a couple of evenings slaving away creating our infamous flapplejacks and brownies, both received fantastic feedback.
The trip up to Burnham gave Cedric the opportunity for some motorway action, needless to say he did us proud. The weather was fantastic and with our pitch being so close to the seafront, the first brews were awarded to the early-morning dog walkers.
With over 40 stalls there was plenty to see and a wide variety of demonstrations took place throughout the day.
We met a variety of people from locals to traders and holiday-makers, we even made time for a photograph with the Mayor.
A fantastic event with very impressive organisation, we have been told there is already funding in place for next year… We can’t wait!
