We always get excited at the thought of food festivals, especially when taking place in Somerset. The selection on Cheese and Cider is second to none! We were pleased to be invited along to the first Burnham-on-sea food festival by Bev and Sarah. Our mission (that we chose to accept) was to "provide the attendees with a selection of delicious whole leaf brews".

Setting up at 10am there was a unique vibe with the tranquillity only briefly being interrupted by the sound of blacksmiths or stall holders pitching marquees.

However, on arrival we were astounded by the number of stalls and events planned for the day. For a small village the atmosphere in Milverton matched that of a Town.

The 6.30am alarm clock on a cold November Sunday was slightly painful, but there was a very good reason for it.. The Taunton Christmas Festival, the biggest free community event in town! Large areas of the town were pedestrianised, having been granted security clearance with the sound of “Couple of Mugs coming through” being announced over megaphones and radios, we were amazed to see that Taunton town centre had miraculously transformed into a Winter-Wonder-Land.
