On the tail end of a fantastic week of sunshine we were rearing to go for the 2012 Lowland Games, not to be confused with the other sporting events taking place in London this month!

We were pleased to be invited along to the opening of Waterside House organised by Knightstone Housing Association.
The development of the 108 homes were the collaborative effort of Knighstone, Nectar Homes and Arc Homes. The project was developed in partnership with Abbey Manor Ltd, Taunton Deane Borough Council and the Homes and Communities Agency.

Driving into the airfield was like an episode of Goodnight Sweetheart. Members of several historical re-enactment clubs were dressed from head to toe in authentic army uniforms, surrounded by WWII vehicles.

This was the 3rd year of the event with a great turnout in previous years, this year was no exception.
The event is organised on behalf of the Go Commando charity who put on a great display during the day getting all the children (and some of the adults) involved in the obstacle course and several rounds of tug-of-war.
